Ugh, just read about this for the first time. Really sad to hear this happened, hope the member gets better soon.

I hope the management of all idol groups, especially with very young members makes safety a priority.
(I always cringe when I see videos of groups being shuttled in vans without seat-belts on. Especially after the tragic accident for kpop group Ladies Code last year.)

I'm not going to speculate on whose responsibilty it was as I don't who has how much say in the production of the show.
Normally it would be the people at Trickstar but the role of agencies is different here in Europe (aside from the question of Trickstar's ownership).
The incident can have consequences for Stardust though, and section 3 in particular.
I hope they will clarify the responsibilities very soon.

And needless to say I hope that the girl will indeed fully recover. But no news after a week isn't good.

It looks like she has still not recovered full consciousness and part of her body is paralyzed. The power of the human body to recover from stroke is tremendous though, so God willing this is not guaranteed to be permanent.

The source for that tweet would be this magazine article, which cites an unnamed TV Asahi person. Her parents are staying at the hospital.

he cites the tabloid version with double page spread, but take it with a grain of salt, Josei Jishin is notorious for making statements that often stretch the truth.

Same here, always worried and keep checking news sites and twitter every single time, both kwkm and Rijicho haven't said any word ever since the news broke three weeks ago...
so far no further progress, a recent news, which is about which side is gonna take the blame, still cited the Josei Jishin report about the half paralysis state. The only update is about the show status, it was changed into "might be cancelled" in the official website.

Because she had a sign of the recovery, she moved to a general ward.
    She will leave the hospital.

    Thanks momomofu-san

That article also quotes some disgusting weaseling by the station's president. Of course an objective investigation would start with the assumption that the incident had nothing to do with the helium...

I'm not surprised at all -- unfortunately, the entertainment everywhere in the world has more than its share of professional weasels.

    Not only the entertainment industry.
    Just look at sports...

    Or even worse politics.
When you read what Amnesty International had to say today about the global community and its institutions this incident is just a mirror of what's going on in the world.
    Human nature I'm afraid

Still awfully glad to hear about the good news - hopefully...

Finally some good news at least.

Hope this means a full recovery is possible.

    Well... I don't think it's quite a good news...

The article quoted by mononofu-san also says,

I think the hemiplegia still remains and if so, it would suffer her for lifelong time.
It's a big tragedy... An idol wannabe had lost her motor ability which means she cannot dream to be an idol.
Momoiro clover Z was also originally started from 3B junior... so shocked and sad

That's not so good -- I hope that physical therapy will help her to regain at least some motor skills, but I know that may or may not be the case.

The girls have started to post in the blog again, Kawakami has also began to deliver his usual tweet report (it was inactive for a month before), but they act like nothing ever happened. Either way, guess the case is closed and the girl has fully recovered.
