That was an amazing episode. Reni's live was more impressive than I had ever dreamed of. All of a sudden, I'm not worried about Momoka's Yokoari live.
One small criticism though, about the Shiori segment: when you're a serious actor, you don't show up on set with a half a dozen person entourage, equipped with their own cameras and mics, with the director of the whole movie fawning all over your. You just don't. You can be Brad Pitt, and you still don't do that. Serious actors, no matter how famous, show up by themselves, and just do their jobs.
I understand that that wasn't Shiori's decision, but, if MCZ members are going to do acting gigs, their management needs to let them just show up on set and do the job, same as all the other actors. If you make it a special television event, it's no longer acting. If Shiori is the center of attention, she can't at the same time be an actor, playing her character. -
Well Akarin is an actress now. Employed at the same agency. And she gets on the set the way you describe it I'm sure
But Shiorin isn't an actress yet. She's an idol who does some acting on the side.
And that for now takes precedence. For her, the agency and the movie
And I can tell you from my job as AD in TV productions that you will have EB teams and press and management people on the set when some VIP makes an appearance
That's normal and standard PR procedure. They will do their stuff, shoot some material, and do interviews on the side
And at some point the AD will interfere and say "okay nuff of that. Let's get back to work" :)
It can be a bit of a nuisance but everyone knows that it's part of the game and will help the exposure of the product
From what I saw in this episode it was all done in the background and during breaks without anyone interfering much

I think I agree with Matt on this...
I see the same practice for other idols that I follow too.
Although not from their agency, there will be staff from japan variety show (whether host by the idol or other talent) who will visit the filming site & do the job.
Even idol who has establish their name in acting also still practice this kind of marketing strategy.
what i mean with establish here is idol who has won award for their acting
Perhaps it is normal within japan idol world?
