Notes from Ruthyruth: It seems this year that August and September are extremely busy months for MCZ. So while the other Momoclo’s get some much needed rest, Leader does what leaders do: They do what needs to be done. Momota “The Real Deal” Kanako brings home this week’s Happy Clover in style. This episode is an opportunity to enjoy traditional Japanese instruments and musical concepts in modern conceptualizations, including some Momoclo music! Awesome! http://www.aunj.jp
Notes from Ruthyruth: In this episode Momotamai and Komiyama Yuhi explore songs Komiyama would “Like to listen to on a Sunday evening with my family.”
Songs included in this episode: Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerlin Wish on the Stars by Billy Joel Drive by 80s new wave band The Cars
TRIVIA: Momoiro Clover Z and Komiyama Yuhi both have provided theme songs for anime programs based on a manga written by the late Sakura Momoko. Komiyama’s band Hoff Dylan provided “Kojikoji Ginza” as opening theme for the 1997 anime series “Sakura Momoko Gekijō Coji-Coji”. And very recently, Momoclo has joined an army of artists who have performed “Odoru Ponpokorin” for the anime series “Chibi Maruko-chan”. MeganeNoTakamofu has posted Momoclo’s new version of Odoru Ponpokorin for your listening and viewing pleasure right here: https://aidoru-online.me/torrents-details.php?id=154449 Super-TRIVIA: 90s J-Band The B.B.Queens performed Odoru Ponpokorin for the Chibi Maruko-chan series as the closing theme in the first series episodes 1-66. They also perform the song as the opening in the second series episodes 295-746, 793-807, and 888-953. In the January, 2016 Folk Mura, one of the all time best Folk Mura’s in my opinion, Momoclo and The B.B. Queens perform Odoru Ponpokorin together. Master of all things Aidoru Online, and Ruler of the Free World, Mattthecat has provided that entire amazing Folk Mura episode right here: https://aidoru-online.me/torrents-details.php?id=87015 I eagerly encourage those who have not already seen it to please enjoy it.
