But what I'm hoping for most of all, for 2017, is a single with MCZ playing all the instruments. I think that would be a move in the right direction for them.

That would be really cool, I agree. Here's hoping for a strong 2017 for MCZ!

I've been catching up on LoGiRL over the holidays, and laughing my ass off. Stuff like Aarin being in the proficiency class of their school because the general level was so low. But also so much chauvinism. Poor Furuya.

Well...2016 has OFFICIALY ended (what a year it's been)!! Depending on who you are, this year was CERTAINLY something whether it's for the good or the bad, and each individual will have their takeaways from it. For me though, the BIGGEST event that had occurred was being captured by the obsession that is: Momoiro Clover Z!

It's (almost) been about 1 year since I fell for this dangerous trap, and got stuck watching/listening to A LOT while giving me so many mixed emotions about them through this year! Just the fact that I had finally found a group that matched (and exceeded) my obsession of BABYMETAL is what makes this so interesting, because never would I have thought that I would be so hooked to something as much as I was hooked to BABYMETAL. As it turns out, Momoiro Clover Z is my newest #1 obsession!!! But boy, did I tolerate a WHOLE LOT for that because of this group!

NOTE: [NEXT 2 PARAGRAPHS INCLUDES TOPICS DISCUSSED BY ME BEFORE, SO DONT READ IF YOUR ARE NOT INTERESTED]
    - Whether it was the girly music/bare midriffs/low skirts/dresses/Aarin's cutesy singing and idol personality/intimate moments of lip pecks/or even constant talking/nagging segments from the ladies themselves, this group was VERY HARD for me to get fully into, as well a VERY DANGEROUS group for a male like me to get into. Knowing my background and environment, groups like these for big straight males would be like walking in the streets with a note taped on your back saying "HIT ME!". Notice that I rarely say that I'm a "fan" but instead say it's an obsession, because despite the fact I spent a lot of time watching/listening to them, I fear being categorized as a "mononofu" because the term itself just sounds like asking for a beating. The fear that I had for falling for this group led to numerous of (unintentionally) infamous posts and comments from me, wondering how folks (particularly males) survive being a fan of such a group. Notice that I fear being categorized as a "mononofu" despite my obssession, because the term itself just sounds laughable to the outsiders. Because of this, I ended up being blocked by the Overseas Facebook page and certain folks from it. Including ones who don't want to make truce even after apologizing for the "annoying" antics, explaining my reasoning for it, and even trying to be interactive and nice towards them.

The fact that I'm a young adult with no driver license/job/money/hot looks/sports skills/luxuries aleeady makes me stand out from my piers. Not to mention that I'm not one to party a lot or do a lot of antics (like vape or weed) when almost every other male around my age do so. Same can be said for being that one student who knows how to do assignments/homeworks and only received very few detentions (which were for tardiness and forgotten homeworks). Worst of all, my unusual look and image just screams nerd/geek/weirdo (to a point of once being called a Mongolian). POINT IS: While I already have characteristics and experiences for being unusual, I feared for falling for a group that would just add on to my flawed qualities because it would be an unsafe one for Western folks. And yet, just like the lyrics for Ikuze Kaito Shoujou described: MCZ came into my life, and stole my heart!

So 2016, I don't know whether to say "Thank you!" (like every fan on this forum) or say "Damn you!" for getting me obsessed with Momoiro Clover Z, but it's certainly a life experience I would always remembered about you. Goodbye 2016, and hello 2017!

Well, one of my biggest thanks from 2016...wait, is this a Thanksgiving post or a New Year's post? Anyway, one of my biggest thanks was being able to watch MCZ live in the States! I had so much fun, and I hope they'll drop by again soon, like during their international tour!

Well like I said in my post, I don't even know if I'm "thankful" for having this obssession. Notice that I rarely say that I'm a "fan" but instead say that it's an "obsession" because I spent a lot of time watching/listening to them, but fear of being categorized as a "mononofu" because it'll add on to my already flawed qualities (explained on the post).

So to answer your question Kurisenshi, it's a New Year's post!

Does anyone have the total attendance numbers for this year's concerts? With the Dome Trek they must've been pretty high, and with Nissan stadium and Momokuri adding quite a bit.

That makes 2016 their best year. Almost 200,000 more than 2014. I believe it's also a new record, for any Japanese female act.

I wonder if that 1.8 mill. tickets sold by BIGBANG is Japan only, or worldwide. Seems impossible to be Japan only.

Advertising 3DCG movie "SING" has started in Japan recently.
And I saw 5 colored girls group dancing.
I checked some trailers and found they sing ...

And the colors are original Go-ranger pattern, not purple but blue.

Anyway, I should be grad their style is one of J-POP representatives.

As curiosity yesterday I went to see Sing! The movie, and I found that there was an idol group with color code (very funny) singing songs of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

    P.S. I recommend the movie
