It is her, the debut album came out just this week. And she is crazy.

BTW I had to look this all up. Am I really the only one who doesn't know anything about idols? I thought MomoClo attracted a lot of people who weren't interested before.

^I loved the early Midori stuff - and her solo album is quite nice (except for her voice. It is too much of the same ...).

Maybe we see a real collaboration with Momoclo in the future? ;-)

I wouldn't exactly call ミどり an idol group! When I saw that Gotou Mariko was in the lineup, I was quite shocked. I actually have no idea what her solo stuff sounds like, I'll have to check it out.

And no, you aren't the only one. The only reason I didn't get into Momokuro earlier is because I couldn't overcome my anti-idol prejudices.

i'm mostly into more japanese bands myself (checking my last.fm would reveal i'm stuck in the late 90's/early00's bands haha) and I did certainly see idol-type entertainment as more of cheap novelty though, and never took the music seriously. one thing appealed to me though, as a male fan ofc, were the cute girls. You can say its all about the girls, until you slowly really get into the whole idol 'package' with the music, videos, variety and etc. and overtime you get a taste for it. kinda shallow and pervy, but schoolboy-ish feels and all are strong.

(and unrelated even more, Perfume bridged the gap for me, personally)

I think momoclo being collab'd with various artists is pretty cool, gives them a legit reputation (if band/artist X likes em they must be for real good amirite)...

I'd say it's impossible unless you either know someone in Japan or go there once before just to order the ticket. So I'd google for travel agents that can book local programming, like there are for Westend musicals in the UK. Might cost a bit more.

I also know that in Taiwan you can get japanese stuff at many regular ticket offices. No idea about Malaysia.

When you go to Japan, maybe you can look for a ticket in resale shops.
My Hello! Pro fans friends always buy their concerts tickets in that kind of shops. You have a plan of the venue to know which ticket corresponds to which seat and if it is good or not.
They say the very very great seats, in the first rows for example, are too much expensive (surely especially for concerts in big venues like SSA) but there is still great seats for cheaper price.

Of course it depends on when you arrive to Japan, but you should definitely check those shops if you have no other possibility.

The Gorakudoh shop is the most famous and where almost all of the people I know buy tickets. It is located in Harajuku district in Tokyo.
There is another shop in Ueno district, but you will have much less choice.
