(To the older males of MCZ) Did the girls's outfits early in their career shocked/bothered you?

Like the bare midriffs with in "Chaii Maxx" and "Pinky Jones", orr even the very short dresses/skirts in the "PUSH" and "Santa-San"? Especially since they were less than 18 when the music videos for these songs were made?

In this thread, I want to know the grown males perspective on the skimpy outfits that ALL the members wore! Were they shocked/bothered by the outfits at all?

I would have thought you'd have gotten some idea after the thread on /r/jpop that most MCZ (or idol) fans clearly are not bothered by it. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not a fan because I want to obsess over some girl showing a bit of skin - who cares about that? For me it's about the music, the energy, and being cheered up. Others still are in it to have someone to cheer for, which is a major thing in the larger idol groups. But I think you'll have to visit a lot of other forums than Reddit and this one to find people that are bothered about showing a bit of skin.

the only one that bothered me is the kimi to sekai music video. other than that momoclo never did like bikini gravure or anything on the level of a lot of other idol groups.

I have pretty much zero issue with any of MCZs outfits (other than that some of em are uuuuugly).

This is not a question for any stardust group fans, I haven't seen these groups try to be sexually attractive, even kimi to sekai is more like a joke to me :)

48 groups and Hello Project idols do bikini photoshot when they're very young, some on their 14-16. But this is normal in idol fandom.

I suggest you bring this discussion to http://stage48.net or http://hello-online.org for more extreme result.

I'll keep this thread open just to see if there're anyone with different opinion which seems unlikely for stardust group like Momoclo.

They're idols, they do as idols do. Welcome to the industry. (Though Kimi to Sekai is nasty even in that sense)

The only thing I can remember outfit-wise that really bugged me was Kanako's headdress in Pinky Jones (and all of their outfits for that matter), and that was for a different reason X_X

People who think that are racist, sexist, and have never been to Japan nor do they ever intend to learn more about it (or any other country, more than likely, because they're also xenophobic). And why do you care so much about what older men think? You've gotten tons of responses just now saying that people neither care nor do they find Momoclo's outfits in any way revealing or arousing, so... bye. This is done now.

except momoiro clover has never once worn any of the described outfits

literally the only thing you could call out is the kimi to sekai music video and aarin's solo song and that's not even as revealing as you are describing

Also idols are literally marketed as pure/non-sexual and if they ever date anyone or do anything impure its an instant scandal

you are here for some sort of agenda and really this forum/idol group doesn't fit in to what you are trying to accomplish

I'm not sure exactly what this thread is about but here is my two cents worth. I'm 46 from Australia. 2013 I discovered BABYMETAL via YouTube. 2014 I booked a trip to Makuhari to see them & a week prior I came across a Momoclo vid & have listened to & watched them daily since. Traveling Tokyo with Momoclo blasting in my headphones was surreal. Now I come from a 70's Rock & Metal through to extreme death Metal background & how in the hell I ended up laughing, crying & smiling to Momoclo every day since I first heard them I'll never know but for me they are the most entertaining group I've come across since my childhood seeing Kiss for the first time in the mid seventies. Not one of the members would ever be rated as a class singer yet when I hear them singing especially together it brings me to tears on a daily basis with an overwhelming ridiculous feeling of joy! They are pure & genuine hard working entertainers & one of their most appealing aspects is their amazing outfits & yes some of them are a little off to us all at some point but I love the fact that it is never a sexually revealing type of western crap related presentation. I idolize BABYMETAL, Band-Maid, MCZ & Miwa with the same love & respect as Kiss, Morbid Angel, Rush, Hate Eternal or any other artist. For those of you who find MCZ sexually driven. Pull your head out of your ass creep!
