I hate KISS because of Gene. I honestly would have preferred a single with Lady Gaga over this, at least she has some commonality with them....
To quote my dad "We used to play three of their songs THIRTY-FIVE years ago."

However, I'm very happy Momoclo switched to blu-ray on their singles!
And why the heck wasn't their Vegas visit announced? I'm within driving distance and I absolutely would have made the trip even if they didn't perform anything!!! =((

So from preliminary reports it seems that [SAMURAI SON] will essentially be an English version of [Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina], with the vocal roles reversed.

I wonder if they'll change up the arrangement

so what's the best translation of the title? the blooming floating world of dreams?
given the ukiyo theme I think Iwasato is the best choice, her songwriting style is kinda strange and peculiar.

Good question, my take would be "Flourish on, fleeting world of my dreams"

    Seems a bit complicated though

(ukiyo can't be the subject for saku because of ni)

With just the title it's impossible to tell. My guess is "Go forth into this wonderful world".

Cool. I like KISS and I'm excited. It should be fun. The day they announce an American tour/visit, I'll be there for sure. Their concerts look so much fun. I get energized watching them on youtube and vimeo respectively so I can only imagine the real thing. It may come true. After all, Scandal will be in the US so who knows...

Even more excited for this! From the title, it sounds like it'll be wafuu rock, which is one of my favorite genres.

Title would be translated literally as "Try and Bloom in this Fleeting Dream World". Fleeting world (ukiyo) is pretty much just an old Japanese way of referring to how short life is in our world, which is why we should live life to the fullest and bloom majestically (try imagining sakura trees).

now that you mention it, it's likely a throwback to their early indie days as wafuu idols ;))
I remember kawakami mentioned in his twitter that they gonna go back to their roots in 2015

Oh yeah, complete brainfart there. My bad :P

It would be closer to what Coleena said then

It's gonna be a cover of Rock and Roll All Nite

Excited for NARASAKI's rearrangement..come on man, don't let me down with another BIRTH Ø BIRTH!
As for Yuyoyuppe, he seems to be a DJ....so maybe they're going into electrorock now?

EDIT: nvm, just saw that he's BABYMETAL's arranger (thanks Momonofu!)

The metal/rock takeover from Momoclo is in full force, lol

Don't care for the original song much, but Narasaki and Yuyoyuppe collab? I'm in.

Yuyoyuppe does a lot of metal-ish stuff too.

yuppe is also a renowned vocaloid metal producer, this is definitely an interesting collab. The EDM-like Birth O Birth just doesn't fit their style I guess
Now I'm totally curious on how the choreography will turn out ;))

that's right, I totally forgot he did that stuff for Babymetal. and if he worked on Birth 0 Birth then he and Narasaki have already collaborated... to not huge success. But that seems like a kind of uncharacteristic flop for both of them. I still love the chorus to Birth 0 Birth.
