And it does remind me of "Watashi no tame ni dareka no tame ni"
(which Sugiyama wrote for them)

The PV is pretty cool, but the song sounds slightly stock to me. For some reason it reminds me of Naitemo iin da yo a bit. Mayama's solo part and the bridge in general was definitely pretty nice, though. I'm digging the amount of new Ebichu material we're getting to hear!

Well, I'm away without internet for a day and Ebichu gives us the date, covers and PV for the new single. Why not? :))

I was already thinking that Momoclo's upcoming single sounded like AKB and now Ebichu goes the Nogi way. However, this is consistent with what Ebichu has being doing with some of their songs, and I think it's a great move. The song is exactly what the general public loves, specially since it's going to be released at the beginning of Autumn.

I always see singles as a way to get more people to check a group out, whereas an album is more for the fans. This single is both musically and visually what it's working best with the general public nowadays (e.g. Nogizaka), so it's a great opportunity for Ebichu to snatch some of those fans and get them interested.

I'm guessing the B-sides will be more focused on pleasing long time fans.

I don't think it sounds like a Nogizaka song though (and believe me I've been a Nogizaka fan before Ebichu but gave up after their 14th single because I really hate their agency).
The direction with empowering lyrics is the same but the music genre isn't as heavy as this for their A side single.
And in before people start pointing fingers at Ebichu for copying Nogizaka's Ima Hanashitai Dareka ga Iru sign language MV, I'll throw them a big fuck you.

But I don't think it's official sign language in Ebichu's PV, it's another communication form
