    Oh, they go for an event of China this time.
    Do they go around the foreign countries frequently this year?

    I am amazed to learn that notation in Chinese of Reni is "蕾妮"

    Momoclo was to be expected, but wow Cheeky Parade. I've heard they've had energy similar to Momoclo on their lives so I'll have to check them out.

    There's other interesting stuff on the survey. BiSH and Passcode sharing 24 and Bellring at 29, some know what's good. I didn't expect BABYTMETAL to bee that low (35), and SKE last?! I thought out of the 48 groups they were the one with a bigger girl fanbase.

    Is it really?

    They have always set their priorities on especially the big concerts (rather than releases)
    With hundreds of performers on stage, sports events and stuff

    Everyone else in their league had "normal" events
    And the units below a certain financial level simply don't have the doe to keep up with that
    Respect therefore to Cheeky Parade to come that close on a small budget :)

    And I guess heavy metal is still more a male thing
    Would be interesting to know the results from the other gender's view

    Yeah Momoclo is the one who's spending yens and yens when it comes to concerts. I don't follow any Hello Project groups, just seen them on TIF and such, but I don't think they spend as much money as momoclo. Kind of the same with 48 groups, they only spend a bit more money on special events, their usual concerts are more normal. Then there's Dempa who doesn't spend that much on stages an stuff, they're more focused on the girl's energy and the crowd.

    If there's a group that I'd say spends money and are kind of low in the list is Perfume. Not as much for having dancers and building shrines like Momoclo, but the technology they use, I think that can't be cheap. I always say this when talking about Perfume: "I don't like the music but their concerts are so good I have to watch them all".

    Well, Momoclo started from the same ground as any the other groups there with small budget. Actually, Momoclo's started their career with smaller budget compared to Idol Street/Avex (cheeky parade), Hello Project, or any 48/46 groups.

    So, I wouldn't say it's an unfair comparison just because one group grow exponentially higher than other groups. Beside, Momoclo have already declining, imagine if the poll was done in 2013/2014.

    But still, I'm impressed with Cheeky Parade's result. Their fans said they're the Idol Street group with Stardust group in mind. I've never seen them doing bad performance, and seems like they're confidence with their performance skill. Few years ago, they challenged Momoclo over and over for battle of bands, but too bad it's never happen and eventually they're beaten in one battle with the rookie group Team Syachihoko at that time. And they're just stopped after that.

    It's a pretty superficial result, though. Look at it this way: they asked about 1000 people, and 20% picked MCZ. Another 25% picked Cute and Momusu. If MCZ and H!P really had that percentage of people attending their concerts (especially in such an unlikely demo), that's 50 million fans across Japan. Baseball and soccer season would have to be cut in half, to free up all the domes and stadiums for them to perform in front of sold out crowds every day:).

    So the survey shouldn't really be interpreted to say 201 young women out of a random sample of 1000 have been to an MCZ concert and loved it. Instead, it's at most 10% from people who actually know what they're talking about first hand, and 90% of votes just won by reputation. The person answering the survey either knows someone (in person or at least on social media) who saw a Momoclo concert and liked it, or, more likely, they just heard that they're really good on TV.

    Don't get me wrong, having a good reputation is great. But a more insightful survey would include a question about "how do you know?", because reputation gained first hand or through word of mouth is far more powerful than reputation gained through media promotions/people talking about you on TV. I bet a group like Cheeky Parade, that's not all over TV, would turn out to owe a lot more of their reputation to word of mouth, than Momoclo, at this point.

    I took the survey from the start as what they "think" looks like a fun concert rather than them actually attending one. So basically just reputation. I don't think it's an unfair comparation because each group chose their batteground, Momoclo is concerts, so if you ask about concerts Momoclo is going to win for sure.

    I'm sure all the groups are doing a great job putting out performances, and it's great to have different styles of concerts too, from the big stadiums and elaborated stages like Momoclo, smaller venues filled with creativity like Dempa, even smaller venues and insane performances like Bellring and so on. The beauty of idols is that you can have it all.

    Yokohama Arena, by any chance? Because if they already booked Yokohama Arena, that means they really are moving on from Kouhaku.

    Quote from this post in onehallyu where a user explained the chart:

    --How this chart works--

    Zones:

    Green Zone = Next Break (People that are rising in popularity)
    Orange Zone = Observation/Attention Zone (Someone people have their eye on)
    Purple Zone = Influential/Stable Zone (People that are well-known, but not necessarily popular)
    Blue Zone = In Right Now Zone (People that are popular right now)

    Columns:

    Horizontal Column = Name/Face recognition
    Vertical Column = Who people want to see/hear/know about

    Name Colors:

    Green = Musicians/Singers
    Blue = Athletes/Talents
    Orange = Comedians
    Black = Actors/Actresses
