From what I've read this is a prestigious award with a long history.
That means that is given out by people who understand what movies are about.
And can justify their choices. Not merely because they liked the movie but WHY they liked it
Otherwise an award like that would have little merit.

but Next Time (god forbid, cause i want them to focus more on music than act) they made another movie, please atleast not kanako again .....Tenshi is kanako ..... most of the music solo lines goes to kanako ....not that i don't like kanako or kanako act it's just i have more fun watching her make some funny skit lol, i want to see what happen if the main one of the other four

For a "star vehicle" film, this is certainly one of the more thought-out projects; heads and shoulders above what they did before and most films that star idols in general (budget horror films usually).

Yeah. I didnt mean "Star vehicle" as a despective term. "A hard day´s night" was a Star Vehicle for The Beatles and yet is one of the best movies music-related ever made. But there is not denial that that was what it was since the script was tailored to feature the 5 members and the film was marketed as "the MCZ movie" as opposed to "a movie featuring members of Momoiro Clover".. Im not sure if i am making sense tough. Lol

Personally, while Kanako being the main character was probably an obvious reference to her being the leader of MCZ, I think her complete opposite personality in the film was actually suitable for her. Her internal monologues I thought gave her character a lot of depth and showed she isn't psychologically strong, and that she wasn't flat. Her thoughts gave her character a human feeling and evoked sympathy to the audience (at least to me lol). I genuinely felt bad that she was so troubled on the inside and had so much doubt about her abilities. Even though that's not really how Kanako is, at least on the surface from what we know, acting is acting. Kanako pulling off a role like that just shows she has some potential as an actress.
In the end, I liked her character. I pretty much liked everyone. Though I think Reni's character was made to be a bit too eccentric, but it might just have been her overacting.

Thats another thing i use as argument as the movie being fitted to the girls personalities... it would have been more challenging if, lets say, Ariyasu had played Garuru and Tamai had played Akimichan ( i can imagine Tamai as akimichan being too clingy to Saori lol).. the characters were too likeable mainly because they were fictionalized versions of their real life personas.
I think Leader did a decent job. There was a scene (the bad news scene) i wasnt happy they way her character reacted, but it wasnt her falut but the script that had her acting like that. As for Renichan´s Garuru, i felt a bit dissapointed that her character had a sadder background that wasnt showcased properly because Jimusho ni Osaretai

Can you imagine serious Momokachan doing Kancho to Guchi sensei? That would have been a riot!

Anyhow ici_jp was kind enough to upload the TV premiere (WOWOW Cinema 20160211)
of this theatrical release. So here's my mp4 encode

Just saw the film myself (Note: Never read or heard of the book, so I'm jut talking as someone who knows MCZ, and is seeing MCZ doing there own movie)!!

Among everything about this film, I REALLY LOVE how they plot (Most) of the traits of MCZ's personalities and story into this film:

    - Kanako: Leader of the club, stressing from the prerssure of trying to lead her group into the big leagues!
    - Reni: Goofy yet delightful character who loves to have fun with her group and has her "silly" moments (Again, I have never read the book, so I'm not sure how Garuru is supposed to act. I'm just talking from as someone who knows Reni very well and seeing her play a character in a film)
    - Shiori: A princess-like character who can make the world seem brighter with her presence!
    - Momoka: A talented yet isolated actress who was the last of her group to be recruited because of her abilities, and is so independent (because of her bad pronounciation) that she doesn't get engaged with the silliness/funnes of her group as much as her companions do.
    - Ayaka: THE MOST DIFFERENT AMONG ALL OF THE MEMBERS IN RESEMBLING THEIR OWN PERSONALITIES! Despite her being the youngest /lowest grade among her companions and has a very high focus in trying to put in her best effort as much as possible, she plays rather a quiet, serious, and MOST SURPRISINGLY, a non-flamboyant character (unlike how she is in real life).

Overall, you can point out the faults in their acting abilities and how well the script of the film follows the book, but I VERY MUCH enjoyed this film!!

Maybe this question has already been answered, and if so sorry, but what scene is Takoyaki Rainbow in? I have heard they make an appearance in the movie, but I can't seem to spot them.

The misspelling of Shiori's name aside, this is actually pretty cool :)

I wonder if its a screening from the actual print or if they are using a digital copy from a Blu-Ray

Not that it makes a difference, but an actual print would mean screenings on other cities later on
