^ They should be. Actually it's not a bad total - each album is probably around 80,000 right now. If their sales stay around 1,000 or more each day, they should get close to 100,000 each in not too long.

Hakkin no Yoake Track 5: "ROCK THE BOAT"
(It's not a cover of the old American song, from the looks of things, despite collaboration with overseas producers.)
    Lyrics: Iwasato Yuuho
Composition and Arrangement: Nicole Morier and Greg Kurstin

I am a big fan of Greg Kurstin’s work, especially his productions for Lily Allen, Kylie and Sia, so I am very glad to hear that one of his productions will be on MCZ’s album.

Info below might be spoilers -- also, I could be completely off, but figured I would point it out.

    Spoiler:
I knew that the first seconds of the album's “Teaser #2” below sounded familiar.

    https://youtu.be/Jh6B4cPK5YQ

So, Britney Spears recorded a song called “Dangerous” back in 2008, but it ended up not being included on her album. It was leaked online few years ago. Intro from the the teaser (drowned out be the screaming) and the song sound the same to me. Production and writing credits on “Dangerous” go to Greg Kurstin and Nicole Morrier, according to Wikipedia.

    https://youtu.be/jZcG_st7N40

If it is based on the same song... wonder how different it will sound other than the lyrics.

    Surprise !!

Actually, it's been announced that the new Ebichu will be released on 20 April.

And I still haven't received my order either. We're in this together! :P

Edit: But I can't find that thread? I have searched for it and with different spelling too :/
    Now I really feel dumb..

    Haha sorry to hear that.
Well I downloaded it on mp3 since I already ordered the CDs and payed for them, just so that I could get a little taste of them ^^
I have a music blog and in March I'm only doing Japanese music and therefore I wanted to get a taste of these two albums before, and hopfully get them before March is over so that I can spew out a review there :)

It's not Country Roads. West Virginia doesn't come up at all. :)

I think the source of the misunderstanding is that Momoclo did at some point cover a Japanese adaptation of John Denver's Take Me Home, Country Roads.

But Country Rose has nothing to do with that.

Unfortunately, I share your disappointment. I like some of the songs (and will probably grow to like them more, after I listen to different versions and arrangements), but I wish they were more edgy. I was hoping for a lot better than this.

I haven't heard every song yet, but I heard most, and, as of now, the only song I really like is Mahorovacation.

Soooo...I'd like to take this back. Just for the record.

Like my original post betrays, I haven't really listened to all the songs when I said that. And the ones I listened to, it was while I was distracted, listening on crappy phone/laptop sound cards, while doing other things.

Since then, I had a few free hours, so I sat down, just me and my fancy Sony mp3 player with my fancy (yet inexpensive) JVC headphones, on a bench in a park, undisturbed, at maximum volume ....and it turns out it's mostly really good songs.

Momoclo has always been hit and miss, but this isn't even that. Hakkin no Yoake is hit and miss (with a couple of total misses, but also a couple of brilliant songs), but Amaranthus is 90% hit. It's really good music.

P.S. I still absolutely and unconditionally love Mahorovacation, but my favorite has become Monokuro Dessan. I never thought MCZ would find brilliance in simplicity, but they kinda did with this one.

I think it's Country Rose. The song has a phrase mentioning about 'blooming a red flower'.

It's interesting to hear your opinion there that your first impression was disappointing and later that quickly started to like them :)
It got me a bit nervous for getting my CDs, but I'm hoping I'll like them :P

Btw, I haven't read every post here and I usually don't go and read up a lot of stuff surrounding these Japanese CDs because.. well my Japanese is almost none existing, and Google Translate sucks.
And this feels stupid to ask for, but since I'm gong to do some blog reviews for these albums, is there good folks in here who could provide me with some information regarding these two albums that could be good to know?
Like.. why two albums, are they connected or something? Special guest songwriters or performers and so on?
    Would be really greatful :)

I can't read Japanese well enough either (I understand a little bit of the spoken version), but I think the reason is just that they wanted to release some more mature music, to show off their improved singing abilities. And in general, new music, to make up for last year's inactivity on that front. They couldn't go on just singing the same songs, that were written for them when they were still teens, and be successful as adults.

And one album wouldn't have been enough, there wouldn't have been room on it for more than six or seven new songs. This way, they released 20 new songs.

There aren't special guest performers on the albums, but of course they're all written by outside songwriters (not by peope on their staff), many of them famous musicians. Most notably, I think, Hyadain: he wrote a song for each album, after not working with MCZ for a long time. Also, one of the singles they added to the albums was written by Paul Stanley, from KISS.
